ENTERING ROO'S TERRITORY

ABOUT US

Wyong District Cricket Club (WDCC) was inaugurated in the season 1968/69 when teams from Wyong, Tuggerah, Yarramalong, Jilliby and Dooralong merged. Since its inauguration, the club has experienced great success and won multiple Senior and Junior premierships, the most recent being the last Men's 1st Grade Premiership the club won in season 2018/19 and the Women's 1st Grade Premiership in 2019/2020.

WDCC is a family-orientated club that welcomes local, interstate and international players looking to join an inclusive and integrated club that provides great enjoyment and a pathway to the future.

We understand that sports play a considerable part in families' and individuals' mental well-being and that it's not easy for people to afford to play or have their children play sports. Working with our valued partners, sponsors, and members, we strive to keep our registration costs down to ensure that people get the chance to play the game they love.

In addition to our playing history, with the support of our members, sponsors and local government, our club is investing in creating advanced training facilities at our home ground, Baker Park. In 2023, we will have a fully refurbished training facility that offers five (5) synthetic bowling lanes and three (3) turf wickets for our premier men's and women's players.

The Wyong District Cricket Club is more than just your local sports club; we are a family. We believe in supporting each other, playing the game in the right spirit, and maintaining professionalism on and off the field. If you're looking to be part of an inclusive and progressive club, please get in touch with one of the WDCC Committee.

COACH'S CORNER
Our Joeys Program

One of our primary focuses for the 2023/24 season is the development of our junior players. We firmly believe nurturing young talent is the cornerstone of a successful club. This season, we will continue emphasising the importance of providing a supportive and inclusive environment for our junior players through our incredible coaches. As a club, we aim to instil in them not only a love for the game but also the values of sportsmanship, teamwork, and perseverance. By investing in the future of our club, we are laying the foundation for sustained success and fostering a cricketing culture that will endure for generations.

WDCC is heavily invested in junior and grassroots cricket. The club has a fantastic coaching and educational Joey's program, which allows players to participate in various sessions on healthy eating and sleeping, physical fitness and mental health, and the fundamentals of cricket. We also have many accredited coaches who identify talented players and assist those who require a little more one-on-one time to develop and refine their playing skills, enhancing their enjoyment and love for the game.
